Nottinghamshire area of the BJC: Codes of Conduct
Bad Behavior
The Nottinghamshire Area has ‘Zero Tolerance’ with regard to bad behavior on the mat or in the dojo at any club within the Area.
As an Area, we promote sportsmanship, good etiquette, respect for each other and above all excellent judo.
There will be no fighting or bad behavior / bad attitudes towards each other on our Area mats.
Should an issue arise or should any judoka have concerns regarding bad behavior, they must raise the issue with the coach at the time of the incident.
The coach should deal with the issue immediately.
Should anyone have further concerns, they must contact Jonathan Boswell (Notts Area Technical Officer on 07825 186905).
Should anyone be found to be mis-behaving or fighting (out of the context of judo), they will be removed from the mat and spoken to. Depending on the circumstances they may no longer be able to attend any of the Area’s clubs.

The Nottinghamshire Area Committee is very aware that Social Networking Sites play a big part in everyone’s lives these days.
We are happy for the members of the Nottinghamshire Area to communicate via these web-sites but the following rules will apply when discussing matters relating to Judo and particularly the Nottinghamshire Area of the British Judo Council.
· Positive and constructive comments may be posted
· Foul language will not be tolerated
· Nothing negative or derogatory towards an individual, club or the Nottinghamshire Area may be posted
Should anyone be found to be doing any of the above then action will be taken by the Area. Ultimately leading to exclusion from the Nottinghamshire Area of the B.J.C.
Should anyone have any problems regarding the above then they should contact Jonathan Boswell – Notts Area Technical Officer on 07825 186905 or Karl Barker – Notts Area Rep on 07950 231487
